Don’t Fall for Aruba ED Card Scams

Almost every other day, someone posts about the ED card fee being way more than the expected $20. Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous people that have created scam websites that let you get an ED card for a much higher fee.

The ED card (Embarkation / Disembarkation) card is a travel document that must be filled out online before travelling to Aruba.  The card comes with a $USD 20 per person sustainability fee that is supposed to be used for investment in wastewater treatment facilities.

There is only one official government website where the ED card can be filled out.

These scammers will take the information that you entered and put it into the real government website, pay the $20 and pocket the difference.

This is not unique to Aruba. Scammers target other countries that charge online travel document fees.
