There are a few spots where you can find free parking:
- Signature Park. This public park is at the very south end of Palm beach.
- The street between the Hyatt and Barcelo hotels that leads to the beach. This spot is closer to the shopping area but can be very full during the daytime. It might also be difficult to park a larger car or SUV here.
- Behind the Moomba restaurant. This lot was free in 2023 but as tourism recovers, it might revert to a paid lot.
- On the side of JE Irausquin Blvd next to the Plaza Mall. Only a few spots here on the curb but are often free in the morning. There is also some parking on the road that goes around the Plaza Mall parking lot.
- On JE Irausquin street across from the RIU hotel.
There are also paid lots around the shopping malls and south of the Dunkin Donuts on JE Irausquin Blvd.
In other parts of Aruba, parking is usually easy to find. The other beaches including Eagle, Malmok, Arashi and Baby all have free parking lots.
Most supermarket, stores and restaurants also have free parking.
The only other place where you might have a hard time finding a spot is in downtown Oranjestad, especially during business hours. There are municipal metered parking spots around town.
Note that in Aruba they use Dutch street signs. The no parking sign is a circle with a red slash and the no stopping is a circle with a red X.
