Travel to Aruba Checklist

Travelling to Aruba is pretty easy. Here is a travel checklist to consult before you go.

A Valid Passport

Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay and less than 10 years old. You do not need a visa if you are a citizen of these countries. This list includes citizens of the US, Canada, the EU, UK, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Panama, and Chile, to name a few.

Reef Safe Sunscreen

Certain sunscreens contain chemicals, namely Oxybenzone that can damage coral reefs. These sunscreens are banned in Aruba. Reef-friendly sunscreens can be bought in Aruba but will be more expensive than if bought at home.

ED Card

Each member of your travel party must have an Embarkation / Disembarkation Card when travelling to Aruba. There is a fee of USD $20 per traveller to get the card. The card is electronic and can be obtained online at https://edcardaruba.aw.  Be carefull, there are scam websites that charge a premium for ED cards.

Yellow Fever Immunization

This does not apply to Canadians, Americans and Europeans. If you are travelling or transiting via one of these South American countries, you will need proof of vaccination against yellow fever: Bolivia, Brazil, Guyana, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. If your transit through one of these countries is less than 24 hours, the vaccination is not required.

Power Adapters

Aruba uses the same plugs and voltages as the US and Canada.  If you are from Europe or certain South American countries, you will need an adaptor for your appliances and electronics.
