The local supermarket closest to Treasure Palms is called Noord Supermarket and Butcher Shop. It is a 2-minute walk and you will probably see it upon your arrival.
This store carries dry goods and a selection of baked goods, dairy, meat, produce and drinks including beer, wine and spirits. It also has housewares, basic medicines, and an assortment of other products like you might find in a dollar store.
The Noord Supermarket and the many smaller groceries are know as a Chinese grocery stores because they are owned and operated by Chinese immigrants. Prices in these stores is often competitive with the larger grocery stores and you’ll find more products imported from China and South America.
What are the best grocery stores in Aruba?
We love shopping at Super Food because the quality is high and it has a mix of Dutch and American brands.
Super Food is about a 10-15 minute drive from Treasure Palms.
Note that the Seafood at Super Food is in a separate store called Daily Fish that is accessed from the parking lot.
Super Do-It Center
There is a large grocery section in the Do It Center hardware store just south of the property on Route 2 which is closer than Super Food. Prices here tend to be lower than at Super Food.
Super Do-It Centre is a combination grocery, clothing and hardware store and is often less busy than Super Food. The smaller Do It Centre stores on the island don’t sell food.
Ling and Sons
This store has the feel of a US grocery and carries more US brands. Prices are comparable to Super Food.
Cmart
This store is close to the airport and is relatively new. It sells clothing, furniture and housewares on the second floor.
Please note that Aruba has banned the use of single-use plastic bags. You can buy reusable bags at the stores or at a small store ask for a cardboard box.
