Where to Eat in Aruba

It would take a lifetime to eat at every restaurant in Aruba.  Here is a small list of nicer places to eat that we have tried and can recommend. Please note that it’s always a good idea to make a reservation. During high season, some restaurants book up weeks in advance.

If you are looking for some quick or cheaper options, have a look at this list

The West Deck

This beachfront restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and is one of our favourites. Ask to be seated on the deck and try the Keshi Yena.

Pinchos

Pinchos are skewers and are this restaurant’s specialty. Pinchos is on a pier and has excellent service.

Barefoot

Make a reservation for sunset well in advance to get a table right on the sand. Fine dining.

Pelican Nest

On Palm Beach. The food is OK and it’s very touristy but the service has always been good.

Moomba

A lively crowd pleaser on Palm Beach. This place is alway busy.

Faro Blanco

This restaurant is next to the lighthouse at northern tip of the island. Amazing views but overpriced.

Italy in the World

A charming restaurant in an old Cunucu house in downtown Oranjestad.

Calabria

Perhaps the best Italian in Aruba but the location isn’t great.

The Flying Fishbone

If the sea is calm, some of the seating is in the water (ie your feet will be in the ocean). Fine dining.

Yemanja

A seafood and vegetarian restaurant in Oranjestad.

Papiamento

Fine dining in a beautiful old house with lots of outdoor seating.
